Playgrounds Funded by Khelo Foundation
Since 2009, Globalteer and Helping Hands have provided after-school education to students in the Siem Reap region of Cambodia. With support from the Khelo Foundation, four new playgrounds have been installed at the Laberk, Kok Pnov, Peam, and Ta Kam Schools.
Before construction, the school grounds offered very limited opportunities for safe play. Today, these vibrant recreational spaces are transforming the lives of more than 1,000 children. Students now have safe, stimulating areas where they can gather daily to play, exercise, and socialize.
These new playgrounds not only enrich children’s daily experiences but also support their overall development by strengthening motor skills, building confidence, and nurturing emotional well-being through the power of play.
